Centrala Farmaceutyczna CEFARM SA

The history of  CF CEFARM SA dates back to 1945. At that time "Centralna Składnica Sanitarna Ministerstwa Zdrowia" (The Sanitary Centre of the Ministry of Health) was created. Further orders and resolutions from the various ministers and other bodies of the state administration have changed the name of the company and the content and scope of its activities. In April 2003, due to the commercialization, CF CEFARM was transformed into a joint stock company - Centrala Farmaceutyczna CEFARM SA, with the sole shareholder - the Minister Of Treasury.

Since the foundation of the company, CF CEFARM SA as the state owned company, implemented centrally planned purchases and sales of pharmaceuticals in Poland and abroad, it led local institutions, and provided a nationwide supply of pharmaceuticals to wholesalers and large customers, selling imported and domestically produced pharmaceuticals and sanitary articles CF CEFARM SA thus established the basis for the national and international distribution of medicines in Poland.
